CECT Quadband - Overview, Specifications, And Review

Based on the original CECT 168, the new, quadband version is GSM GPRS 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz, making it virtually plug and play. It works with any network in the world and the phone does not require any software.
If you’re not familiar with the CECT line of iPhone clones, they’re extremely popular because of their ability to do everything the the iPhone does, but better. They have all of the features of the iPhone and then some. They’ve improved on the iPhone by adding a removable battery, additional speakers, TWO sims, and the ability to use your own wireless provider so you aren’t stuck paying AT&T over $100 per month for the most basic plan. And, they look amazingly like the iPhone.
The CECT Quadband also has a few upgrades. The firmware is upgraded, the touch screen feels a bit more like glass and more solid than the original. Perhaps the most anticipated and best upgrade is the slide unlock feature. You just literally slide you hand across the screen at the unlock prompt and the phone is immediately unlocked in one swipe. They’ll also added really nice surround sound that may be important to you if you listen to a lot of music oh your phone. The phone also now has a webcam, which is very nice.
The pricing is very competitive and coming down, ranging about $130, sometimes as low as $100 if you’re lucky.
In a nutshell, this awesome little plug and play touch screen phone is loaded with features for a very low price. I don’t hesitate to recommend it to people who want the newest technology for a lower price.
